Delicious New Sizzlers: Letting Creativity Happen

Awake at dawn, I read for a while, jotted a few thoughts in my journal, balanced a bowl of cereal on the bed. The birds were singing and a cool spring breeze drifted in through my window, only slightly ajar. I snuggled into my blankets and began to drift back into sleep  …
Suddenly the words, “delicious new sizzlers” popped into my head. I was awake enough to note the oddness of the phrase, and made myself write it down. I’m not sure where it came from, but I liked the sound of “delicious new sizzlers.” I love letting my brain play with words, combining them in new and unusual ways. And what better way to let the play happen than by encouraging this relaxed, dreamlike state?
